At Duxbury, we firmly believe that each child is unique and the problems experienced by each one are also very different. We tailor make the learning experience to suit each individual child and build a close relationship with the child, parents and the school.
Our tutoring process begins with a thorough assessment to identify the learner’s weaknesses and
strengths. We then structure interesting and dynamic lessons that ensure learners develop a keen
interest in their studies. Through personalized and focused tutoring processes, the learners
will develop tools needed to achieve success in their fields of study.
We conduct one-on-one and small group sessions that allow a tutor to engage with a few learners
at the same time. The one-on-one and small group sessions can both be conducted online for
learners that cannot visit the centre. We also do home visits for those students who do not
prefer the online services and want to be taught in the comfort of their homes.
We set together with the learner, SMART academic targets and incorporate continuous assessment in our teaching and learning as a way to check if there is progress towards achieving these goals. We also work closely with the schools to ensure that the learner receives the best assistance possible. We keep record of the learner’s progress by creating profiles for each learner.
